Most people who have been successful in their life are so, because they are prepared to put themselves in uncomfortable situations and give themselves permission to fail. By doing this they are allowing themselves to grow. It’s quite sad how the society appears to be looking at failure these days. Most people use the possibility of failure as an excuse not to go through with something. While in reality even if your failing, at least your trying and learning.
If you stop looking at failure as a bad thing you can look at it more positive. Having failed at something just means that your now consciously aware that you’re doing something wrong. You can’t expect to do the same things over and over again and get different results. If you keep learning and changing your methods until you find out what works and what
doesn’t work. You will eventually succeed.
We have all failed in life at points, but we seem to put too much pressure on this aspect of our life. If we fail to much we tend to give up, we forget our passions and our goals. Sometimes we even start to label ourselves as victims. Don’t be one of those people, if your frustrated just realize that even if your failing. Your still one of the few people who are willing to improve! You could have just stayed inside your comfort zone all the time, wondering why the results you wanted aren’t coming.
Another reason why people don’t chase their dreams as much is the fast fix society we live in. ‘’I don’t want to take guitar lessons, I want to take a magic pill and be the best guitarist right away’’.
surely it would be awesome if things were like the movie ‘’The matrix’’ ,where Neo just downloaded the skills he needed in his head. However that’s not how the world works , and besides how fulfilling would that be if you would just get those skills, rather than earning them. Wouldn’t it be more satisfying if you results would come from showing a 200% commitment to your goals, while working your ass off.
So realistically spoken, how opener you are to failure, the more willing you are to put yourself in the unknown and face your fears.
